7.2.0-FIE-01 : EFIR operation - operation inventory and sorting / .PDF
Certification GuideThis fact sheet deals with the harvesting inventory and EFIR sorting. The harvesting inventory is an essential stage in forestry operations, which consists of characterising the harvestable resource before it is put into production. It identifies, quantifies and locates the trees that can be harvested according to the criteria in the management plan. The tracking and sorting operations that follow are aimed at selecting the trees to be harvested and optimising skidding activities, while respecting the allowable cut and reducing environmental impact.
